Tara Marine Syndicate was incorporated on October 4, 1987. It is strategically located in Kolkata, within easy distance of the NSD and KP docks. The logistical advantage is coupled with dedicated storage facilities for dry and reefer container holdings at Haldia, A.M Plot, Sonai MMC Plot and Martin Burn Yard.
Tara Marine Syndicate is a member of the Federation of Freight Forwarder’s Association of India (FFFAI). It is also the sole authorized service agent for Thermoking, U.S.A. – a leading manufacturer of transport temperature control systems – Carrier Transicold, U.S.A. and Daikin, Japan. The clientele includes companies that are leaders in their respective fields as well as medium sized lines from all across the world.
The company believes in the highest standards of quality and security. Stringent security measures are followed with security personnel keeping constant vigilance. The yards are well equipped with forklifts, hydraulic till cranes and a Stand-By generator set to ensure consistent P.T.I. and monitoring of containers.
A highly skilled core team of 15 personnel is ably supported by 10 skilled workers, who are backed up by 30 unskilled labourers. The operations are supported by a backbone of 10 people who are instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the company.

At Tara Marine Syndicate, we believe in personalized services and being prepared. Each shipping line has a unique set of guidelines which we follow to the letter – be it in repairing, storing or even evaluating. Our efforts are concentrated in providing as fast a turn around time as possible. In the highly unlikely event that we are unable to store any containers due to a space crunch, we have back up facilities on hold. Management Profiles
Mr. D. Mukherjee
Mr. Mukherjee is a science graduate with a managerial diploma from IISWBM. He handles the commercial side of Tara Marine Syndicate. He brings 30 years of experience to the company
