Our Services

Tara Marine Syndicate caters to the diverse needs of its clientele by extending its expertise to both dry as well as reefer containers, besides its core activity of general marine vessel repair and auxiliary services. Our services also include:

Repair facilities for dry and reefer containers

There are teams of skilled workmen for each plot, who are guided by a senior supervisor. All repairs are done by highly trained mechanics and engineers to perform P.T.I. and monitoring of the containers. We use updated tools and techniques and the ability to think on our feet to cope up with any emergency repairs that require us to go out of our way. Mechanics are also deployed to attend to malfunctions at the shipper’s warehouse if so required.

Available capacity

Communications within the yard is enabled by Interlink Mobiles. In fact, the company was one of the first to move to mobile phones from Internal Communication Trunked Radio Systems. The staff is easily accessible and stationed to handle emergencies through intimation by telephonic messages.

Identical systems are followed in the inventory, inspection and repair facilities of both Haldia and Kolkata. This ensures consistent quality standards irrespective of the location. There are two yards in Haldia and four in Kolkata.

The storage yard is an expanse of 400,000 square feet, with stringent measures taken to prevent water accumulation. The containers are bifurcated on the basis of size, during storage. With container yards approximating 485,000 square feet in area, space crunches are few and far between.

A primary survey is done by in-house personnel prior to repair, and in some cases, before offloading. This is done in case of heavy damages on the inbound vehicle itself. Thereby, we ensure consistent quality from us at every stage of our association with a line. We have a dedicated team of 22 workmen, with an additional 10 technicians on board.
